ABOUT NIC

Rooted in Northeast Wisconsin

Nic Cravillion is a Northeast Wisconsin native, Army combat veteran, small business owner, and public servant running for Wisconsin State Senate to continue Working for Wisconsin.

Born and raised on his families dairy farm in New Franken, Nic grew up with the values that define the communities of our region: hard work, responsibility, faith, and service. After serving in the United States Army and deploying to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Nic returned home in 2014 because he believed Northeast Wisconsin was the best place to build a life, raise a family, and continue serving others. Today, with more than 15 years of military service, he continues to serve in the Wisconsin Army National Guard.

Nic and his wife, Caitlin, a local realtor, are raising their family on their seventh-generation homestead, land that has been in the family since 1854. With deep roots in Northeast Wisconsin spanning generations, Nic understands the importance of preserving the values, traditions, and opportunities that make this region a place where families can afford to live, work, and build a future.

For more than five years, Nic has served as District Director for State Senator André Jacque, working directly with constituents, local governments, farmers, veterans, small businesses, schools, and community organizations throughout the First Senate District. From helping families navigate state government to advocating for local priorities, he has spent years solving problems, building relationships, and delivering results for the people of Northeast Wisconsin. That experience has prepared him to step into the State Senate ready to serve on day one.

In addition to his public service, Nic and Caitlin are both small business owners, giving them firsthand experience with the challenges facing Wisconsin families, employers, and entrepreneurs. Outside of work, Nic remains actively involved in his community through his church, veterans organizations, volunteer service, and other local initiatives.

As a conservative Republican, Nic believes government should work for the people—not the other way around. He is committed to lowering taxes, promoting responsible spending, expanding workforce and affordable housing opportunities, supporting reliable and affordable energy, protecting constitutional freedoms, backing law enforcement and our veterans, strengthening local control, and making state government more transparent and accountable. He believes the voices and values of Northeast Wisconsin deserve a strong advocate in Madison who understands the district because he has spent years serving it.

Nic isn't running because it's the next step in his career. He's running because he believes Northeast Wisconsin deserves a State Senator who already knows the district, understands its people, and is ready to go to work from day one. His campaign is rooted in the same principles that have guided his life: faith, family, service, and hard work.

Raised on the Farm

Born and raised in New Franken, Nic grew up on his family's dairy farm, where agriculture wasn't just an occupation. It was a way of life. The farm was a true family effort, with grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and neighbors all stepping in when there was work to be done. From an early age, Nic saw firsthand the dedication, long hours, and uncertainty that come with making a living from the land.

Growing up in Wisconsin's farming community gave Nic a deep appreciation for the families who feed our state and nation and for the rural values that continue to define Northeast Wisconsin. Although the family dairy farm is no longer in operation, the lessons learned there and the respect for the people who make Wisconsin agriculture possible remain a lasting part of who he is today.

A Lifetime of Service

After graduating from high school, Nic answered the call to serve by joining the United States Army. As an Infantryman, he deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom before returning home in 2014 to continue serving the community he loves.

Today, with more than 15 years of military service, Nic continues to serve in the Wisconsin Army National Guard as a Drill Sergeant. His service has included combat operations in Afghanistan, humanitarian relief efforts following Hurricane Irma, state emergency response missions here in Wisconsin, and helping train and mentor the next generation of Wisconsin Soldiers. Whether serving overseas, responding to emergencies at home, or developing future military leaders, Nic remains committed to serving his nation, his state, and his fellow Wisconsinites.

That experience has given him a firsthand understanding of the district's challenges and prepared him to serve in the State Senate from day one.

Wisconsin's Outdoor Heritage

The outdoors has always been a way of life for Nic and his family. Growing up in Northeast Wisconsin, he learned to hunt, fish, and appreciate Wisconsin's natural resources alongside his grandfathers and family who shared a deep respect for the land, wildlife, and the traditions that define our state's outdoor heritage.

Today, Nic enjoys passing those same traditions on to his own children through hunting, fishing, camping, and time spent outdoors. He believes conserving Wisconsin's land, water, and wildlife ensures future generations can experience the same way of life that has shaped his family for generations.
